Balkan body music spring

Brazilian body music vibes followed us in February, during the seminar we did for the students of Lumier University of Lyon. You can enjoy the flickery atmosphere of the twenty playful musicians in a short documentary video on our YouTube channel. Don’t forget to like, share and subscribe!

This month we have a lot of announcements of the gigs until the end of the year and more to come soon. We start our musical journey from Serbia and our home town, Novi Sad, and work our way in March through Vojvodina, then Slovenia and Bosnia.

For the followers of Slavyk music project, there is a sweet surprise: this year our first album, 11 songs of love and sufering will be released! It’s still world body music, but with a new twist.

Spring body music tour in the Balkans

The 2026 tour begins in the end of February! We are starting small and cozy with a living room concert for families in Novi Sad. A community club in Zrenjanin follows, then workshop for adults and concert in Subotica. We haven’t played in these towns for a long time. We also come back to Ruma to open the theater Art Trema Fest, where we performed last time in 2018 and got an award fot the Musical Comedy Kiss.

It will be our first time to perform at Kavč festival in Ljubljana. We will be coming back to Slovenia this year two more times, once in May to Prulček and later on in November to perform at Celica for the Sounds of the World program cycle.

We finish the March tour in Banja Luka, with a concert and performance for children. Later in April we’ll lead a workshop in Belgrade, then in May we’ll have a concert for all ages at the same place, Waldorf school. Finally, in May, you can catch us in Zagreb!

Although the schedule becomes busier every day, we still have dates open.
Contact us for booking.

We’ll attend the Budapest Ritmo conference in April. Let’s meet there!

Seminar of body music in February

The seminar with the musicians studying pedagogy at the Lumier University of Lyon was such a treat! It was a one day field trip for the group that came from Belgrade to Sremski Karlovci to our favorite place, Eco Center Radulovački.

We started the morning session with warming up and playing dart game, now with a new inspiration Ana learned in Brazil at the Circular Festival at the workshop of Mairah Rocha of Barbatuques.

The fun begun with two music and rhythm patterns, one in four and other in three beats, that overlap so nicely and meet after different number of circles.

In the afternoon session we dived into some of the examples, like the songs Frere Jacques or Do, Re, Mi from The Sound of Music.

We finished off with one of the games, The Orhcestra and the Conductor.

Big thanks to Marija Henyon Belan who made the connection and Rastko Pavlov, who was a gentle host of the group.

Zusammenkommen: last November we participated in a lovely project of Coming Together: workshops of body music and recording of a music video.

This is just a part of this community art project of bringing people together though culture and sharing humanity.

Check out the video at Zirkel für kulturelle Bildung‘s YouTube channel. We fillmed this while we were participants of the AIR-M residency program of the City of Munich.

We’ll be joining Micaela Czich once again this August in a project for kids commisioned by the International Library in Munich.

We’re also coming back to Munich in November, when we’ll have workshops, concerts, and a mini-tour with dear friends of Bavarian Immigrants.
